We have an immediate opening for an reliable individual looking to become an Electrical Technician. You will join our team of skilled electricians to assist on installations, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of electrical systems, including electrical panels, lighting, motor controls, and conveyor systems. All of our staff are familiar with installing power supply wiring and troubleshooting residential, as well as commercial types of electrical components. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who is eager to work with team members to ensure the fast-paced work environment flows cohesively.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist electricians by performing tasks under their direct supervision
• Respond to service calls within the expected timeframe
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduits using proper equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on various systems as requested
• Learn to test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical operability and safety of all components
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to exercise judgment, evaluate a problem area, and use initiative in reaching a solution
• Able to safely operate two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on job location
• Experience with residential and some commercial electrical conduit runs (Not required, but a plus)
• Experience with residential service panels upgrades, including process and procedure (Not required, but a plus)
